Welcome to Smelly Rhino Studio, reeking of creativity since 2000!

Mission Statement: Try not to be too serious and do good work!
Smelly Rhino Studio is a complete fabrication of Rebecca Salcedo.
What’s in a name? What were you expecting? This is not a serious site. Well, a little.
I was sitting at the airport with a friend about 10 years ago, chatting about the answer to the question about life the Universe and everything. We decided that 42 was not going to be very helpful. So, on a cocktail napkin, we came up with the name Smelly Rhino Studio. It’s completely random and silly. I have had many people question why the heck I would choose this name, anyway, since it doesn’t imply a thing. Well, what I know is that people remember it…so maybe it wasn’t the worst possible choice. Along the way, I’ve decided to take a special interest in animals and helping them, including endangered species.
My silly dog Peanut is the Smelly Rhino, and with her Monty Python-esque horn glued to her face, I think she is a good representative for the cause, for many reasons. She shows that you can overcome diversity and meet a challenge; that you can help out your neighbor no matter where you come from; and most importantly, she began the journey wanting to be someone special, but along the way, realized she always was.
What Clients are Saying
“I am in complete awe of your talents….I knew it would be totally awesome, but it is even better than that! I can’t stop looking at it, pics do not even do it justice!!.”
- Dave and Lynne P..
“ Thank you so much for the Otis watercolor. He is fabulous… if I saw a book with your watercolor of Otis on the front I would buy it.” Otis: “I can not believe what a fantastic looking fellow I am! Then again, yes I can! I just exude personality and thanks to Rebecca of Smelly Rhino Studio…, I have been captured perfectly. So you can see why I am going to write a book. I want to share myself with everyone and bring smiles to their faces. I can do that, you know! This scene is taken from a photograph of me enjoying an ice cream sundae in Tuscany, Italy! They really know how to serve them up! Delizioso!”
- Leslie H. of Otis (the sockdog)
“ I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE it! Rebecca, you are an amazing artist!”
